Ben Creighton joins Little Rock FOX affiliate KLRT as weekend sports anchor and reporter. He’ll cover college and high school programs across the state “and play a key role in Fox16’s Fearless Friday presentations including football highlight shows and state championship game broadcasts,” says news director Austin Kellerman. KLRT is the sister station of NBC affiliate KARK.
“I’ve learned that college athletes are more than just, well, athletes,” added Creighton. “Each one of them has a life story or something unique about them that they want to share. I pride myself on creating big feature and human-interest stories.”
“We were immediately impressed with Ben’s ability to communicate and deliver unique and memorable stories about the student athletes he covered,” added Kellerman. “We look forward to him bringing those skills to our award-winning newsroom.” A graduate of Washington State University, Creighton joins from KEZI 9 News in Eugene, Oregon. He starts in Little Rock next month.
