Starting Sunday, WRC, NBC’s owned-and-operated station in Washington DC, will air “PRESS Pass,” a weekly web feature that supplements “Meet the Press,” at 11:30 a.m.
“PRESS Pass” was created earlier this year as a mid-week supplement to the political affairs show, featuring additional interviews and analysis from “Meet the Press” anchor David Gregory. WRC is the first station that will air the web show as television programming.
The hour-long “Meet the Press” airs on WRC at 10:30 a.m. “PRESS Pass” will air immediately following, from 11:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.; the remaining 15 minutes in the timeslot will be used to broadcast President Obama‘s weekly radio address and the GOP response.

| WASHINGTON, DC — September 16, 2011 — Beginning this Sunday, September 18, NBC’s “PRESS Pass” — the popular web feature produced by “Meet the Press” — will air on Washington, DC station NBC4 Sundays at 11:30 am ET, immediately following “Meet the Press” at 11:30am.
“PRESS Pass” was created in April 2011 as an additional venue for David Gregory to interview newsmakers and analysts who are driving conversation during the week, giving viewers an all-access pass to the stories behind the headlines. This Sunday’s televised edition of “PRESS Pass” will feature Gregory’s interview with Ambassador Nancy Brinker, Founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Amb. Brinker tells Gregory she is “more hopeful” that she has ever been that a cure to breast cancer is close. She also talks about the HPV vaccine controversy and the foundation’s work in Africa with Secretary of State Clinton. |
