Baltimore NBC affiliate WBAL has hired Adam May as co-anchor of its weekend newscasts.
“Adam’s addition to the WBAL-TV 11 News team is another example of our commitment to bring viewers the best local news reporting every hour of the day,” said president and GM Dan Joerres. “His knowledge of the Baltimore area, gained from over a decade of reporting here, will certainly have a great impact on our news coverage.”
May joins Kai Reed at 6, 10 and 11 p.m. later this month.

May has worked for WJZ in Baltimore and Al Jazeera America. He comes from CBS Newspath where he was freelancing.
