The flooding in Texas went from being a weather-related story to a personal story for KTBC morning meteorologist Zack Shields.
The FOX owned Austin station posted a list of people still missing after flooding in the area. On that list is Laura McComb, the sister of Shields’ wife Julie, her six-year-old son Andrew and her daughter 4-year-old Leighton. Laura’s husband Jonathan was rescued more that ten miles down the river suffering from serious injuries.
The station said Laura called Shields’ wife to say her house was floating away.
