Atlanta Station Pays Tribute To Longtime Writer Who Lost Cancer Battle

11Alive paid tribute to a longtime writer who lost her battle to cancer over the weekend.

According to the station’s website, Birnur Richardson spent three decades working at the NBC-affiliate in Atlanta.

“It has been a really difficult morning here at 11Alive Atlanta.  We lost one of our team, Birnur Richardson, lost her battle to cancer,” morning anchor Vinnie Politan told viewers during the morning show Monday.
