Atlanta Anchor Amanda Davis Arrested Again

Amanda Davis, longtime Atlanta news anchor, has been arrested for driving on a suspended or revoked license.

Davis left Fox-owned station WAGA in 2013 after being arrested for DUI in 2012. She was arrested again in June 2015, a day before she was scheduled to make her debut on Atlanta CBS affiliate WGCL.

WAGA reports police say they discovered Davis was driving on a suspended license after they pulled her over for an expired tag. Police also say the suspended license was because of her previous DUI arrests.

Davis was just announced as a WGCL’s new morning anchor starting January 2. She spoke openly about her alcoholism on that station in May.

“It’s a privilege and a blessing to be able to start the New Year with Atlanta area viewers, providing them with the news, weather and traffic to get the day started,” said Davis in the announcement. “It’s going to be great in the mornings on CBS46.”
