And Reporter Makes Three: Anusha Roy Leaves KXLY

By Kevin Eck

Anusha Roy, the North Idaho reporter for KXLY, the Spokane, WA, ABC affiliate, has left the station.

Roy’s departure follows those of Mike Gonzalez and sports director Ben Kaplan, making her the third on-air personality to leave the station in the last two weeks.

KXLY news director Jerry Post told TVSpy, “Anusha chose to leave. She gave her notice a couple months ago.  We are in the process of hiring her replacement.”

On her facebook page, Roy wrote a goodbye to viewers saying, “It has been such a privilege to be a part of this community and have the honor to tell your stories. The Inland Northwest has been nothing but supportive, generous and kind to me. That I will always remember fondly.”

She started at KXLY in April 2011 and began her broadcast career at KVEW in Tri-Cities, WA.
