Anchor Ron Trevino Marks 30 Years at KHOU

By Merrill Knox

Morning anchor Ron Trevino is celebrating 30 years at KHOU, the CBS-affiliate in Houston.

“I’ve had the best job in the world … and on many occasions, the worst, because also too numerous to mention, are all the stories that brought you and me to tears,” Trevino writes in a guest post on MikeMcGuff.com. “Triumphs and tragedies and everything in between. Sorry if that sounds like a cliché, but that’s life. And ‘life’ is basically what I still cover, to this day.”

Trevino anchors KHOU’s morning newscast alongside Lily Jang and noon newscast alongside Katherine Whaley.

“Thirty years has been an honor,” he writes. “I would tell you more, but I have to go to bed now…that alarm clock goes off at 2:30 AM.”
