Keith Humphry to Retire After 31 Years with WDBJ

Anchor Keith Humphry announced this week that he will retire from WDBJ. Humphry joined the Roanoke-Lynchburg CBS-affiliate in 1980 and has been anchoring the station’s 6 p.m. newscast ever since.

“Keith has set an example of great reporting for a couple of generations of young reporters,” said Jeffrey Marks, WDBJ’s president and general manager. “News7 is the solid news organization that it is in no small part because of Keith.

Humphry, 61, will continue at the anchor desk through May. His final newscast is set for May 27th.
