WVLT anchor-reporter Angela Starke is leaving the CBS-affiliate for a position in Knoxville mayor-elect Madeline Rogero’s administration.

Rogero, who was declared the first female mayor of Knoxville earlier this month, announced today that she had appointed Starke senior director of communications.

Before joining WVLT, Starke worked as a reporter for WJLA in D.C.
