After Jimmy Kimmel Makes Makes Fun of Him, KTLA Reporter Fights Back

KTLA reporter Doug Kolk did his best local TV version of David to the Goliath that is Jimmy Kimmel.

In case you haven’t been paying attention, local reporters have become a favorite target of late night shows. Monday, Kimmel ran a report from March 28 when Kolk was getting reaction about that night’s earthquake in LA.

Kolk asked several people on Hollywood Boulevard if they felt the quake. They all said ‘No.’

“He saw on social media there was an earthquake nobody felt it,” said Kimmel. “But he went out. So please keep us in your prayers.”

But Kolk had a comeback, telling viewers on KTLA last night Kimmel left out the part where he wrapped his report by saying, “So nobody felt thing a thing, much like being an audience member at a Jimmy Kimmel taping.”

A quick check of TVeyes showed Kolk didn’t deliver the Kimmel line live. Kolk told TVSpy he taped that part after he became Kimmel’s target.

He said he brought the same suit he wore on March 28 just in case he was allowed to do the skit. He was. Though he said he was warned it was a fight he wasn’t going to win.
