After 15 Years at KNSD, Susan Taylor Says Goodbye

By Merrill Knox

KNSD anchor Susan Taylor announced this week that she will leave the station after more than 15 years to spend more time with her family.

Taylor, who said she is going to “seek out a life that puts me more in sync with my husband and our son,” announced her decision in a statement, which can be read on the station’s website.

“After a lot of long talks with myself and my family, I decided not to extend my contract here at NBC 7,” Taylor said. “This was 100% my decision. The station offered me a fair, generous contract that would have had me here for years to come.”

Taylor anchors the 4, 4:30, 5, 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts at the NBC owned-and-operated station in San Diego. Her last day has not been determined, but the station will “take some time” determining her replacement.
