A Day After Canceling, DC Mayor Faces Metro Tragedy Questions

By Kevin Eck

After canceling yesterday’s planned appearance on FOX owned station WTTG, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser sat down with the Good Day DC anchors this morning to answer questions about the city’s handling of the Metro incident.

Four days after smoke on the DC Metro line killed one and sickened more than 80 people, Bowser told the Good Day crew she is very proud of the “brave men and women in the fire department” for their work in evacuating the trapped commuters. She added, “Our job, of course, now is to make sure that we know everything that happened.”
