A 73-year-old California man who told KTXL, “I never faced anything in my life that I didn’t figure I can whip,” used his “big right hand” to stop a bear from getting to his dogs.
According to the Sacramento FOX affiliate, the bear was trying to get past a gate at Carl Moore’s house, when he heard his chihuahua “screaming in fear.”
Moore, a former boxer who served in the Marines, tried to chase the bear away until it charged him.

“Boom, I hit him good,” said Moore, who added, “This big right hand has sent a lot of people to the floor.”
The bear took off and is not expected to ask for a rematch.
