50 Years of KIII’s ‘Domingo Live’

domingo liveKIII, the ABC affiliate in Corpus Christi, will broadcast a special edition of “Domingo Live” on Sunday to mark the show’s 50th anniversary.

“We are so proud and honored to present this special program to the viewers of South Texas,” KIII vice president and general manager Dan Robbins said in a statement. “It’s a great opportunity to showcase the history of the program that celebrates the culture, music and community events of the entire Coastal Bend.”

According to KIII, “Domingo Live” is the longest-running locally produced live music and information show in the country. The two-hour special will originate from the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown, Texas in conjunction with local radio station KSAB’s annual Cinco De Mayo Festival.
