CAjVcd0VEAERJVpYes, that is the outline of a body in the stairwell at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York. No crime tape, no detectives, just the outline. An with it, a mystery. Was it an accident? Was it foul play? Could it be a grim warning to segment producers about missing slot–or maybe just the dangers of running on the stairs?

CBS tells us the outline’s been in place for years just outside–fittingly–the “48 Hours” offices. Judy Rybak, a CBS News producer, snapped this photo while working on Saturday’s one-hour special on Robert Durst, saying it was a reminder that “while running up and down the stairs” crashing the special, the outline is “how I know I’m back” at “48 Hours.”

The special, “The Bizarre Saga of Robert Durst,” features Erin Moriarty‘s interview with attorney Dick DeGuerin, who tells “48 Hours” he’s eager to go to court, and that he believes the prosecution has a “weak circumstantial evidence case” against Durst.
