World Wrestling Entertainment Expanding To India

World Wrestling Entertainment is opening a new office in Mumbai, India on June 1.

Rukn Kizilbash has been appointed as general manager of WWE India in order to spearhead the company’s expansion efforts.

Kizilbash recently served as the chief operating officer at Percept. He’s also served as general manager of Ten Sports after being promoted from vice president, advertising sales.

“WWE is committed to growing our business to ensure that our international fans have the access they want to our products and our programs,” said Andrew Whitaker, executive vice president, WWE International. “With the hiring of Rukn Kizilbash and the opening of the office in Mumbai, WWE expects to increase the revenue generated from India across all platforms, and bring our audience even more WWE excitement and products that they have desired.”

WWE programming is available in 75 million television households across India on Ten Sports.
