Compared to the same week last year only World News Tonight saw viewer growth: up +5 percent. All three shows were down in the A25-54 demo: ABC was down -9 percent, NBC was down -11 percent and CBS was down -4 percent.
It was one year ago this week that Lester Holt was named anchor of NBC Nightly News. The newscast has been No. 1 most of that time.
Due to NBA and NHL finals NBC and ABC were rated for 3 days: Nightly News on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and World News Tonight on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. CBS Evening News was rated all 5 days.
