With All Due Respect Producer Leaves for CBS

With All Due Respect, the nightly election show hosted by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann on Bloomberg, and re-aired on MSNBC, has lost its senior broadcast producer. Rob Gifford is leaving Bloomberg to take a senior producer job at CBSN, TVNewser has learned.

Gifford’s departure does not necessarily mean WADR is coming to an end, though there has been speculation that it was a run-of-election show.

WADR debuted as a half-hour show two years ago and it expanded to an hour last October. In December it began re-airing on MSNBC at 6 p.m.

Earlier this year, Michael Bloomberg signaled that Halperin and Heilemann would be leaving the network sometime after the election. He clarified his remarks in an email a few days later writing, “John and Mark are talented, ‘take no prisoners,’ hard-hitting, honest journalists who call things as they see them. What the future holds for WADR, Bloomberg Politics, and them, we will determine after the election season.”
