“Wiser Heads Have Prevailed”

“Late last week, some believed [Diane] Sawyer actually had the inside track over [Charlie] Gibson because of her superlative skill as a boss whisperer. But one well-placed source says ‘wiser heads have prevailed’ and that now Gibson could be named anchor or co-anchor” of World News Tonight instead, Newsday’s Verne Gay hears.

“Why can’t both take over as ‘permanent/temporaries’ at WNT? Well, someone has to stay behind at ‘Good Morning America’ to keep it in the ‘Today’ hunt, right? Right.”
