You may have heard by now that former CNN and Current TV host Eliot Spitzer, who resigned as New York governor after a prostitution scandal, and Anthony Weiner, who resigned from Congress after a sexting scandal both lost their bids for a return to elected office. Spitzer lost his primary race for New York City Comptroller, 52% to 48%.
Meanwhile, Weiner came in fifth in the democratic primary for New York City Mayor, garnering 5% of the vote. As he left the political stage for the second time last night, Weiner had a message for the media. As TVSpy reports he gave the finger to a producer from WNBC.
Will the next stop for these two former politicians be TV punditry? Which network would hire them?
