Why the TV Isn’t On Much at the White House

During his West Coast trip, Pres. Obama stopped by NBC’s “Tonight Show.” Obama taped three segments, and a cold open sketch, earlier in the day Tuesday. It was Obama’s fourth time on the show, second as president.

Leno and Obama talked Iraq troop withdrawal, 2012 politics, his first term so far, his poll numbers, quitting smoking, his exercise routine, and family life at the White House. Including the fact that the Obama daughters aren’t allowed to watch much TV.

“Malia got a cell phone, but they’re not allowed to use it during the week,” said Obama. “Just like they’re not allowed to watch TV during the week … During the weekends they get their TV time.”
