More from the Pew study:
• The education, age and knowledge breakdown showed an interesting statistic about the broadcast networks — CBS News has the lowest percentage of college graduate viewers by far (15%, compared to NBC with 33% and ABC with 26%).
As for the cablers, MSNBC had the highest percentage (37%) followed by CNN (32%) and FNC (25%). Certain programs performed significantly better than their respective network average, like The O’Reilly Factor (38%) and Hardball (47%).

• CBS News also had the highest percentage of viewers 50 and older (63%). On the cable side, FNC and CNN each had 47% viewers 50+ compared to MSNBC with 41%.
