Who Said This?

“They could certainly have me do 100 live shots rather than two or
three stories a month.”

The story after the jump…

NBC News correspondent Bob Dotson has won his fourth Murrow award for writing. And considering the category has only been around 10 years, you can see where that puts him in the annals of the well-written TV news story.

Dotson, a 33-year NBC vet, just signed a new three-year deal with the network. His ‘American Story’ series appears on NBC’s Today show. Dotson tells TVWeek he is thrilled NBC sees a commitment to the craft and praises Today show EP Jim Bell. “For him to find room for the story of us is lovely,” Dotson says. “Knock on wood that NBC continues to do that. They could certainly have me do 100 live shots rather than two or three stories a month.”
