White House Press Office Accidentally Sends Draft Version of Obama Schedule to Press Corps

By Chris Ariens

A TVNewser tipster emailed us Pres. Obama’s schedule for tomorrow that is made available for the press covering him.

Ordinarily, not a big deal. But it turns out whoever sends out the final version to the press corps forgot to delete an earlier conversation thread.

It contains a glimpse of how the President’s daily routine is planned. But it also includes some blunt language. Oh, and the wrong day of the week in the subject line.

One staffer writes about the president’s hosting of seder tomorrow night: “Apparently Jewish here and in neighboring states are now calling wondering why they have not been invited.”

While another staffer wants to change the language of the president’s morning event on mortgage interest rates to, “put more emphasis on the real people aspect.”

More than a dozen members of the Press Office including Press Secretary Robert Gibbs were on the email thread.

We’ve included a portion of it, after the jump…

I’d like to change the housing piece to this, if that’s ok (put more emphasis on the real people aspect of this):

Tomorrow morning, the President Obama will host a roundtable discussion in the Roosevelt Room about the impact of historically low interest rates. Attending the meeting will be a handful of households who have re-financed their homes and benefited from lower mortgage payments, as well as members of President Obama’s economic team. There will be a pool spray at the end of the meeting.

We put it on yesterday’s deal – so folks already know that it’s happening. They’ll wonder why it’s not listed if we don’t include it on there.
