Univision News will provide millions of Hispanics with access to comprehensive Spanish-language coverage of tonight’s U.S. vice presidential debate through Univision’s multiple platforms, including television, online, and mobile.
The Univision Network will air and live stream the debate between Vice President Joe Biden and Congressman Paul Ryan from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and will also provide simultaneous Spanish translation. Prior to the candidates’ face-off, Univision News will present a Spanish-language pre-debate show available live on the YouTube Elections Hub and Google Hangout, with Univision News correspondent Lourdes Meluza, reporting straight from Danville, and political analysts Helen Aguirre Ferré (Republican) and Fabian Núñez (Democrat). The discussion will be moderated by Enrique Acevedo, co-anchor of Univision’s nightly newscast, “Noticiero Univision Edición Nocturna.”
Immediately following our pre-analysis, Felix de Bedout will introduce the event and resume coverage upon its completion.
Following the debate, Univision will host a special half-hour live program featuring Aguirre Ferré and Núñez, who will discuss the candidates’ performance and what voters can expect during the last phase of the presidential campaign.
At midnight, we will broadcast the event live to tape, not including the pre and post event analyses.
The pre-debate show, vice presidential debate and post-debate special will be streamed live on UnivisionNoticias.com, and YouTube.com/politics, with ongoing coverage and updates on the Noticias Univision app. The debate will also be broadcasted via Univisionamerica.com.
