Today on the 5pmET edition of “Hardball”, Chris Matthews had a “WHITE HOUSE vs. FOX” graphic in the lower right corner.
While Matthews and guests Pat Buchanan and Eugene Robinson discussed the White House’s feud with “Fox News,” the graphic on the bottom corner simply read White House vs. “FOX” and the accompanying logo was that of the FOX broadcast network, not Fox News.
An MSNBC spokesperson tells TVNewser the FOX logo was used mistakenly and that it should have been the Fox News logo. We’re told the graphic will be corrected for the 7pmET broadcast.
When Bill O’Reilly references MSNBC, he generally uses the umbrella “NBC News” or “NBC’s cable news network” description.
Regardless, the MSNBC graphic is not quite as eye-catching as the rotating White House Watchdog/Anita Dunn‘s head Glenn Beck used last week.
