CNN’s Wolf Blitzer empire, “The Situation Room,” is not to be confused with MSNBC’s “The Situation with Tucker Carlson.” “We came up with the idea first,” Klein joked to Lisa de Moraes yesterday. But MSNBC’s “Situation” is premiering first: Next Monday. “I guess there’s only so many original names you can come up with when you keep overhauling the line-up,” an insider remarked…

> An e-mailer says: “Anyone bickering over the use of the word ‘Situation’ should remember that all three networks use the word, ‘Live,’ all use the word ‘Report’ and many use the words, ‘News’ ‘Evening” and ‘Morning’ in one way or another. Credit CNN for using numbers (‘360’), Fox for using a completely different word, (‘Factor’) and MSNBC for creating a new nation (‘Scarborough Country’).”
