What is the Today Show Doing in GMA’s Studio?

Well, it’s not the “Today” show you may be thinking of. This is Australia’s version of “Today” seen on Nine Network. This week, the show is originating from New York City — in fact from the Times Square Studios also used by ABC’s “Good Morning America.” Despite having the same name, Australia’s “Today” has no links to its American namesake. In fact, Nine Network works with ABC in the U.S., so “Good Morning America” airs in the early morning hours on Channel Nine in Australia. Tuesday’s edition of “Today” just wrapped up at 6pm ET / 9am in Eastern Australia.
