The broadcast networks broke in to programming today for the prayer service for victims of Monday’s blasts at the Boston Marathon. NBC and FOX carried the event in its entirety. ABC and CBS joined not long before Pres. Obama spoke at NoonET.
The interfaith service, at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, was also carried on the cable news networks. Pres. Obama spoke directly to the people of Boston: “Your commonwealth is with you. Your country is with you. We will all be with you as you learn to stand and walk and, yes, run again. That I have no doubt you will run again.”

And Obama promised justice: “They picked the wrong city,” he said. “Not here in Boston, not here in Boston.”
“Yes we will find you and yes you will face justice.”
