Watters’ World Expands to a Weekly Program

By A.J. Katz

There’s a wave of programming moves coming out of Fox News today, and Jesse Watters is part of it. The network’s series of monthly specials, Watters World, will become a permanent part of Fox News’ weekend lineup. Watters World will now air Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET, and will premiere this Saturday.

“Jesse’s monthly specials have proven extremely popular and we are confident the Watters World weekly airings will make a great addition to our weekend lineup,” said Suzanne Scott, evp of programming at Fox News.

Watters, who famously rose from production assistant to The O’Reilly Factor correspondent, is probably best known for his man-on-the-street interviews, some of which have stirred controversy. But the new show will also feature a rotating panel of commentators who will debate the news of the day, and Watters will also conduct in-studio interviews with newsmakers.

“I am humbled that Fox News Channel has given me this opportunity,” said Watters. “I look forward to viewers entering my world more often and wouldn’t be in this position if it weren’t for Bill.”

Now, a look back at the infamous Chinatown edition of Watters World:
