Watching ‘Nightly News’ Leads to Fight, Arrests, Hospitalization in Wisconsin

By Chris Ariens

Three people staying at the Salvation Army in Sheboygan, WI were hospitalized Friday night after a disturbance that began over watching “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.”

According to Gannett Wisconsin Media, a 51-year-old man allegedly pushed a 27-year-old woman. He was arrested on suspicion of battery. Police also arrested a 24-year old man on suspicion of disorderly conduct. All three had to be hospitalized.

What led to the fight? Sgt. Scott Reineke of the Sheboygan Police Department says, “It was something about the Brian Williams evening news: there was a disagreement about whatever was on the news.”
