Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me, Carl Kasell Leaving NPR?

FishbowlDC has the memo from NPR which announces that “Morning Edition” news anchor Carl Kasell is leaving the post at the end of the year. “[B]ut happily for all of us,” writes programming VP Margaret Low Smith, “he isn’t going far. Carl will continue to be the Official Judge and Scorekeeper for Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!

Carl joined NPR in 1975 as a part-time newscaster and was on the air 30 years ago this month when Morning Edition premiered.
