CNN may be replacing Paula Zahn because of poor ratings, but the time slot isn’t proving easy for anybody.
On Monday, American Morning co-hosts Kiran Chetry and John Roberts hosted the first of five CNN/YouTube Debate Countdown specials at 8pm. The broadcast averaged just 341,000 viewers, and only 99,000 in the 25-54 demo.
The show couldn’t maintain its lead-in of 500,000 with 155,000 in the demo from The Situation Room. To top it all off, MSNBC beat CNN in the demo in primetime again. Zahn hosts the special today through Thursday, with Chetry and Roberts back on Friday…
