Video: Alabama’s Ingram cries after getting email from imprisoned dad at NFL Draft

By Cam Martin

Mark Ingram, the 2009 Heisman Trophy winner, was selected 28th overall by the New Orleans Saints last night – the same draft slot his father, Mark Sr., went to the Giants as a wide receiver out of Michigan State back in 1987. The father is currently serving seven years in prison for money laundering and bank fraud, but last night he sent an email to ESPN’s Suzy Kolber, congratulating his son on being drafted. Kolber read the email to his son right after the younger Ingram was drafted.

Yeah, it’s about to get a little dusty where you are, provided you have a soul.
