Vice has made a key addition to its digital team, naming Katie Drummond svp of Vice digital. Drummond will oversee digital content strategy across editorial and video in her new role at the company.
Drummond will be based at Vice’s Brooklyn headquarters and will report to Vice News evp Josh Tyrangiel.
“Katie’s one of the most talented editors and managers in our field,” said Tyrangiel. “She’s serious about making great digital things and brings out the best in the people she works with. We’re really excited to have her on our team.”
Drummond comes to Vice from Medium, where, as deputy editor, she helped oversee editorial, audience development, marketing platform and curation.
Prior to her arrival at Medium, Drummond was editor in chief of Gizmondo before being promoted to executive managing editor of Gizmodo Media Group.
