Updates on FNC’s Brian Wilson and MSNBC’s David Shuster

By Alex Weprin

Our sister blog FishbowlDC has updates on two DC-based newsers who have not been on the air recently.

First there is Fox News Channel’s Brian Wilson, who it seems has been shown the door at the cable network. “Friends of Wilson say he doesn’t expect to return,” FishbowlDC writes.

Politico’s Playbook reports that Wilson is starting his own production company:

After 25 years with the company, I have decided it’s time to move on. It’s been a great run. From the first days at WTTG, where I had a ringside seat as Mr. Murdoch transformed a small group of independent TV stations into a fourth network — to the 12 years spent at the Fox News Channel, where I participated in a grand journalistic experiment under the direction of the visionary Roger Ailes — it has been a blast

Then there is MSNBC’s David Shuster, who says he is not in “cable news bad boy prison.” He seems to be keeping himself busy with other projects.
