Yahoo! global news anchor Katie Couric flew to Las Vegas to attend Saturday night’s fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, but bailed at the last minute, according to the New York Post.
The Mayweather camp reportedly attempted to have CNN’s Rachel Nichols and ESPN’s Michelle Beadle banned from the fight because of their overage of the boxer’s domestic violence record. The Post says Couric, who interviewed Mayweather about domestic violence just last month, felt uncomfortable attending the fight and flew back to New York.
