Unaired Portions of NBC Sandusky Interview Could Become Evidence in Trial

Portions of NBC’s interview with former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky could become evidence in his molestation trial. Last November NBC Sports anchor Bob Costas interviewed Sandusky by phone for “Rock Center.” It was a brutal interview, filled with awkward silences and curious responses.

It was also, apparently, cut down for time. Multiple reports suggest that prosecutors have asked NBC for the full transcript of Sandusky’s interview, and may possibly present it as evidence in the case. In particular this response by Sandusky to a question about his Second Mile charity:

“I didn’t go around seeking out every young person for sexual needs that I’ve helped.”
