Two AJAM Executives Resign Following Ex-Employee Lawsuit

By Chris Ariens

Breaking: Following the filing of a lawsuit by a former employee today, Al Jazeera America’s executive vice president of human resources Diana Lee and the executive vice president of communications, Dawn Bridges, have both resigned.

The resignations came not long after attorneys for fired employee Matthew Luke filed a $15,000,000 lawsuit against Al Jazeera America and Osman Mahmud, a senior vice president at the network. As TVNewser first reported this evening, Luke claimed Mahmud created a hostile work environment and was prone to “making discriminatory, anti-Semitic and anti-American remarks such as ‘whoever supports Israel should die a fiery death in hell.'”

Insiders tell us Lee and Bridges quit voluntarily.
