Melinda Duckett‘s funeral is being held today. Here are a few opinions about her interview with Nancy Grace:

> Last night on The O’Reilly Factor, her estranged husband said: I don’t feel that Nancy Grace was overly harsh on her. I mean, she asked me the majority of the same questions, and all that Melinda would have had to have done was answer them and continued on…”

> Orlando Sentinel: “Whether it’s television, cyberspace or the dinosaur known as newsprint, the information buzz can overwhelm the average Joe and Jane caught in the middle of the maelstrom…”

> SF Chronicle: “Given the circumstances, Grace’s grandstanding, badgering interview was bad enough. But the idea that her producers at CNN elected to go ahead and run the interview, even though they knew Duckett had killed herself, has veterans of television news shaking their heads…”

> NY Post: “Perhaps the suicide of the 21-year-old mother was not spurred by Grace’s third degree, but we’ll never know. The fact is, TV hosts simply have no business cross-examining witnesses, playing judge, jury and prosecutor. That’s why we have courts…”
