Trump on CNN Debate: ‘Everything Was About Trump’

By Mark Joyella

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump told MSNBC’s Morning Joe Thursday morning last night’s CNN debate was far too focused on him. “Well I thought I was treated fairly. I thought I was on too much. I felt badly for everybody else. Every question had to do with me,” he said. “Even the first characters, I mean, everything was about Trump. And then they go into this debate and there was split screens all over the place. I’ve never seen anything like it. It was a little bit unfair to a lot of other people, frankly. But from my standpoint, I was treated fairly.”

Trump also questioned CNN’s decision to extend the debate to three hours, suggesting the added hour was motivated by money:

What happened is about a week ago, we got a call that they were going to make the debate almost an hour more. And you know what that is, that means the advertising is so dense and so deep and they’re getting tremendous numbers per minute and for half minute that they just added another 45 minutes to an hour to the debate.
