Donald Trump‘s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, was pressed by co-hosts of MSNBC’s Morning Joe to defend Trump’s targeting of journalists, most recently NBC’s Katy Tur at a rally in Miami Wednesday.
“Why is he calling people out by name in the back of the room,” asked MSNBC’s Willie Geist.
“Obviously he didn’t mean it in any malicious way,” said Conway. “But I’ve spoken to NBC News about that issue, and I’ll leave it there.” Conway refused to discuss what she had told NBC–or to discuss whether it was appropriate for the candidate to continue to single out journalists.
