Tomi Lahren Asks Judge to Hold The Blaze in Contempt of Court Over Daily Caller Story

The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Tomi Lahren has asked a Dallas judge to hold Glenn Beck and his right-wing media company The Blaze in contempt of court over a news story that’s an attack on her.

According to court record, Lahren’s lawyer is claiming that Blaze employees slammed Lahren in a story published Wednesday by Daily Caller reporter Peter Hasson. The filing came exactly three days after the judge ordered both sides not to criticize each other in public.

“It took no less than 48 hours for [Beck and The Blaze] to violate this Court’s order,” the court filing said. “This Court should immediately get to the bottom of what appears to be a very transparent attempt at a public smear campaign by Defendants.”

“We do not know who is commenting to the press but we are asking them to please stop and respect the court, the process and ultimately, common decency,” said a spokesman for The Blaze and Beck.

Lahren’s attorney Brian Lauten asked Dallas County Civil District Judge Martin Hoffman to order Blaze employees to testify at a hearing set for May 1 so he can question them about the article. Hasson’s story does go into more detail, naming people at The Blaze Lahren allegedly feuded with.

Lahren has been taken off the air by Beck (though she is still receiving a salary). She’s currently suing the company and Beck himself for wrongful termination. Lahren, who has been at The Blaze since 2015, alleged she was fired for voicing a pro-choice stance and saying on ABC News’s The View that it would be hypocritical to support both limited government and government intrusion on abortion.
