Tom Costello Got the Most Evening News Airtime in 2014

TomCostelloAndrew Tyndall has added it up, and he’s out with his annual top news stories report. “Never have midterm elections been treated with such disdain. And never have federal domestic policy debates made such little news. Not a single White House nor Capitol Hill correspondent qualified for the Top 20 ranking of reporters,” Tyndall writes.

Transportation had its heaviest year on record, as star-crossed Malaysian Airlines lost jetliners over the Indian Ocean and in Ukraine.

Here are the top 20 most heavily-used reporters (excluding anchors) and the number of minutes they were given on their respective network evening newscasts in 2014:
