‘Today’ SP Moves to MSNBC

NBC “Today” show Supervising Producer Federico “Fed” Quadrani is joining MSNBC where he will have the title Executive Producer Weekends, TVNewser has learned.

“Federico will play a major role at MSNBC as we continue to evolve our content into an urgent, smart and compelling product,” writes MSNBC Executive Editor Yvette Miley in an announcement to staff this afternoon. Miley’s full message after the jump.

I have fantastic news to share with you today. I am thrilled to announce Federico Quadrani will be joining MSNBC as an Executive Producer Weekends. Federico joins us from “Today” – the most successful news program in television. Federico brings his tremendous knowledge, experience and passion to MSNBC. Federico will play a major role at MSNBC as we continue to evolve our content into an urgent, smart and compelling product.

Federico has worked as a supervising producer for “Today” since 2003. Prior to that he worked for ABC News at “Good Morning America”. He started his career at WNBC here in New York as a newswriter.

Federico starts April 12th.
