‘Today’ Show Puts 2013 Spin on 1964 Ringo Starr Photo

By Chris Ariens

This morning, the “Today” show recreated a photo that Beatles drummer Ringo Starr took of a carload of teens during the band’s first visit to the U.S. in February, 1964.

Starr went public with the photo last week with the hope of seeing what those teens — now in their 60s — are up to now. Last week, “CBS This Morning” talked with Starr and one of the men, Charlie Schwartz, (seen with his hand up in the photo). “Nightly News” also caught up with a couple of them. This morning, the “Today” show reunitee all five of them, and recreated that photo sitting in a Chevrolet Impala.

All five have been invited to Starr’s Las Vegas show next month. The “Today” show will tag along for a story.
