‘GMA’ Gives Hat Tip to ‘Today’

By Chris Ariens

“Good Morning America’s” play of the day was, “Good Morning America.” At at end of the 7am hour, after playing a series of clips — autotuned, of course — “GMA” anchor Robin Roberts said, “As you can tell, we have fun each and every morning. And we are so grateful to you at home, for making us the number one morning show in the country last week.” After thanking ABC stations, and “our friends at Yahoo!” Roberts added, “Of course we tip our hats to our colleagues over at NBC, for their amazing streak that they had. They raised the bar.”

“16 years, and now we can fight it out every day,” said George Stephanopoulos.

Don’t be surprised if you see “Today” reciprocate later this morning.
