Here’s a new TV news title for you – Executive Producer of Transformation.
That’s what longtime NBC News employee Tim Peek is going to be doing for the network. According to a press release, “Peek will oversee the incorporation of emerging technologies into the daily practices of the news division.”
Most recently, Peek was a Senior Digital Producer at NBC where he worked to advance digital journalism efforts across the news division, heading up technical and editorial training around new techniques.
Peek joined NBC News in 1996, as an investigative producer for “Dateline NBC.” He began his journalism career as a freelance writer and as news director of the college radio station at Colorado College, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. He also holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
