Three Weeks After Bone Marrow Transplant, Robin Roberts Released From the Hospital

“Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts has been released from the hospital, three weeks after her her bone marrow transplant on September 20.

“Part of my motivation is to come back to you, the wonderful ‘GMA’ audience,” Roberts said in a video that aired on the ABC show this morning. “We’ve often called you family, and it never felt more like family.”

Roberts’ oncologist was was also interviewed on “GMA” today. “These moments are fantastic, and the video is wonderful to watch. She’s batted this part out of the park,” the doctor told George Stephanopoulos. “That’s not to say there weren’t hard days. There were very hard days, there was a lot of unpleasantness.”
